Opportunity knocking. Do you hear the knock?

"If you only had one shot… one opportunity to seize everything you’ve ever wanted…. one moment… Would you capture it?  Or just let it slip away?”      Eminem

Opportunity is defined as a good position, chance, or prospect, as for advancement or success. It is defined this way so as not to confuse it with another term… gift. The problem with most people is that they misuse these two terms and try to superimpose them to suit their applicable situation. Opportunity looks like a gift, sounds like it’s free, and can be both but without the work involved to progess forward, opportunity is nothing more than another word…. disappointment.

Most, if not all of you, are visiting this site because you’ve been introduced to an opportunity. Whether or not you turn your opportunity into the gift that we all desire it to be is totally, completely, and unconditionally up to each of you. YES!!!  The old adage is true…. “if it’s to be, it’s up to me”!!!  Most people enter the world of Network Marketing under the assumption that just because it came easy for one, then it should come easy for all. However, each of us are given our own circumstance with our opportunity.  This circumstance becomes the ground upon which we sew our “seeds”.  This ground is the basis for how our business is formed.  It can be an idea that we formed before we became engaged or an idea that we’ve carried from childhood about this opportunity.  But our ground is never all we’ve got…. consider it just the basis from which we start. Never consider your ground to be the only thing to help you “reap the harvest” from your opportunity. If that were the case, then all anyone would ever have to do to be a great Network Marketer is SIGN UP.

Next, your “seed” of opportunity is planted and has started to take root.  This can happen by any means but for the most part it involves research and learning about your opportunity.  I encourage each of you to do your homework about your opportunity.  Consider it as much a part of your investment as any monetary amount you had to put forth to sign up.  Research everything involved in your opportunity.  Research the product, the founders, the formulators, the basis for your product, the need for your product, the market for your product, your product’s target market, EVERYTHING about it!!! Your “seed”  will only grow as much as you do.  Take all the negative feedback that you recieve from those closest to you (also the same people who will try to talk you out of your opportunity all the way to the harvest) and use it as the “fertilizer” that it truly is!!!! If they all had your wisdom, foresight , and desire to succeed, they’d be busy trying to sew their OWN “seeds”.

Once your “seeds” have sprouted and are starting to grow, the work to get your opportunity to resemble a gift is far from over. Plants need sunshine, the right nutrients, and water to fully turn into the successful gift that you know they can be. Your “seeds” my be planted by someone in your upline. Your “seeds” may sprout because of work done by your sponsor or someone else in your organization. However, your “seeds” will only grow to a harvest worthy of reaping if you give them what they need. For sunshine, surround yourself with positive people who share your vision.  Let their “rays” and “beams” shine on you and those in your organization. Let your nutrients be the on-going training that your product offers.  The more conference calls, seminars, and trainings that you attend and promote, the more bountiful your harvest will be.  And lastly, every once in a while…. a great while…. stop, have a glass of water and enjoy the “seeds” as they grow.

Fianlly, when it comes time to harvest ALWAYS REMEMBER TO GIVE BACK TO THOSE THAT MADE YOUR OPPORTUNITY THE GIFT IT HAS NOW BECOME!!! Whether through incentives, advice, or insight into what you’ve done to become a successful Network Marketer, the people who helped you get where you are will help you stay there if you give a little back.  Using your harvested opportunity to help others grow their own successful gifts of harvest is the beauty behind Network Marketing….”the more people i help get what they want, in turn, helps them, help me get what i want”!!!
